Secretaries of State

Office of Secretary of State records in the State Archives can be found using the Online Guide (paper and analog formats) and VT Re•tain (digital formats). Digital records not available through VT Re•tain due to format or other public access limitations may be requested through VSARA's Reference Room. Records of individual Secretaries of State are often incorporated into the records of Office of Secretary of State divisions, programs or units. Some Secretaries of State also maintain their own administrative records and/or subject files.
