Executive Branch State Officers

Elected State Officers

The following state officers, established by the Constitution of the State of Vermont except for the Attorney General, are elected biennially:

• Governor
• Lieutenant Governor
• Secretary of State
• Auditor of Accounts
• State Treasurer
• Attorney General 

Appointed Secretaries and Commissioners

Under the executive supervision of the Governor, all administrative agencies of the Executive Branch are headed by secretaries and all administrative departments are headed by commissioners.
