Vermont State Archives and Records Administration


The Vermont State Archives and Records Administration (VSARA) is charged with administering the Statewide Records and Information Management (RIM) Program for all public agencies in accordance with generally accepted record-keeping principles and industry standards and best practices. The Statewide RIM Program in defined in 3 V.S.A. § 117.

VSARA was created by Act 96 of 2008, which consolidated the Public Records Division within the Department of Buildings and General Services with the State Archives Division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
