Other Records
Apart from the acts, journals, and committee records, information related to legislative history can be found in a few other places.
Bill Files
Bill files are maintained by the General Assembly's Office of Legislative Counsel and they consist of the records of legislative draftspersons who worked on specific bills. The records may include drafts of committee reports or amendments; summaries; research documents; and copies of committee records. Bill files date from 1941 to the present. Researchers must contact the Office of Legislative Counsel directly to request access to the bill files.
