Vermont Archives Month

Vermont Archives Month takes place annually in October.  American Archives Month is a loosely organized effort by archival organizations and repositories around the nation to highlight the importance of archives and the work of archivists.  The VHRP coordinates promotion of Vermont Archives Month, which may or may not have an overarching theme, and encourages repositories to host events and the public to attend them.   

As part of our promotional effort, the VHRP maintains a website for Vermont Archives Month that includes blog posts about archives-related topics.  There is also a calendar of events, which lists what events are happening virtually or in-person around the state and allows organizations to submit information about their own Archives Month events.
