Effective after the 2023-2024 legislative sessions and as one of the Secretary of State's legislative clerks, the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration (VSARA) is the current publisher of the Acts and Resolutions (3 V.S.A. § 106) and the Legislative Directory (3 V.S.A. § 107). VSARA also maintains the State Papers of Vermont series, first authorized in 1912, which are primarily annotated texts from 18th century Vermont public documents but include some published indices.
From 2003 until 2016, the State Archivist also authored a column in the Secretary of State's Opinions news letter called the "Voice from the Vault." Other former publications of the Secretary of State's Office and its divisions are available through our Reference Room.
