OPR > Regulatory > Regulatory Review > Mental Health Licensing Study
Act 117 (2022) directs the Office of Professional Regulation (OPR) to assess the qualities and capacities of mental health regulations across the State. This study will evaluate the potential for streamlining Vermont’s mental health licensure systems, whether additional regulation of supervisors for mental health professionals-in-training is necessary, and whether OPR can more effectively and equitably address barriers to the mental health professions. Click here to read the Act (page 8).
OPR is conducting public meetings to discuss the required topics. Information about the meetings is found below and the information to access the meetings will be available on OPR’s public calendar.
Those who wish to be added to the contact list can email OPR at sos.opr.comments@vermont.gov.
