Notice to Controlled Substance Prescribers:
Vermont law 18 V.S.A. §4289 requires prescribers of Schedule II, III, or IV controlled substances to register with the Vermont Prescription Monitoring System and use it as required by statute and Department of Health rule.
The Department of Health may refer non-complying licensees to OPR for possible disciplinary action. 3 V.S.A. § 129a(a)(3) “Failing to comply with provisions of federal or State statutes or rules governing the practice of the profession.”
