Welcome to our Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) page.
Here, you'll find information about Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), an election method in which voters rank candidates in order of preference. If no candidate wins a majority of the 1st choice votes cast in an election, RCV takes into account voter’s next preferences in order to distribute votes until a candidate achieves a majority.
Our office partnered with the League of Women Voters of Vermont in May, 2024 to offer a two-part series of virtual forums on RCV. Click to read the press release.
