Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas Reminds the Public, Media How to Obtain August 13 Statewide Primary Election Results

Montpelier, VT – Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas reminded members of the public of how to find results for the upcoming Statewide Primary Election.

Unofficial Statewide Primary results are reported to the Secretary of State by Vermont cities and towns after polls close on the evening of August 13 and posted on the Secretary of State’s website: https://electionresults.vermont.gov/. Results will be unofficial until the Canvassing Committee meets to certify the results on August 20.

“Timely reporting of election results, and accessibility to those results, are critical parts of maintaining the public’s trust in Vermont’s elections,” said Secretary Copeland Hanzas. “As always, we will be working very closely with Vermont’s town and city clerks to post the unofficial results of the Statewide Primary on election night so voters, the media, and all interested parties have access to those results.”
