Montpelier, VT – On Thursday, February 27th at 10am in Room 11 at the State House, Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos will hold a media availability in advance of the Tuesday, March 3rd Town Meeting Day and Presidential Primary elections. The event will include a presentation on Vermont election security, and the work being done by Secretary Condos and the Secretary of State’s office to ensure the security and integrity of every vote cast. All members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend.
“Fair, free, and secure elections are the bedrock of our democracy,” said Secretary Condos. “I would like to invite the media, Legislators, elected officials of all stripes, and members of the public to a presentation and open discussion on the work we do daily to secure our Vermont election systems and ensure that our elections are conducted with integrity and transparency.”
Following the presentation on election security, and on the elections administration process for the upcoming Town Meeting Day and Presidential Primary elections, Secretary Condos will answer on-topic questions regarding Vermont elections and election procedure. Secretary Condos will be joined by Secretary of State’s office staff members Deputy Secretary of State Chris Winters, Elections Director Will Senning, and IT Director Jon Welch.
